Centennial Animal Hospital was established in Bracebridge in 1981 and, along with Gravenhurst Veterinary Services, was purchased by Dr. Mary DeCaire in 1982.
In 1983, the hospital was moved to the current location from the original building at Fife’s farm. Originally, the practice catered to both large and small animal clients but has been exclusively small animal since 1995. Dr. Claire Duder joined the practice in 1987 and became a partner in 2003.
Over the years, we have grown from one Veterinarian and one employee to a practice team composed of almost 30: Veterinarians, Registered Veterinary Technicians, Client Service Representatives, & Veterinary Assistants.
A major renovation in 2000 tripled the floor space of Centennial Animal Hospital. In 2004, Gravenhurst Veterinary Services also greatly increased its office size with a move to a much larger building, in the same heritage complex, at the Gravenhurst Train Station.
For over 35 years, Centennial Animal Hospital and Gravenhurst Veterinary Services have been caring for the pets of Muskoka and Drs. DeCaire, Duder, and their entire healthcare team look forward to many more.
